I'm accepting donations for my new doggy. He's about 5 and he has gum disease(I just adopted him from an abusive home). I took him to the vet on the 16th and didn't think much of his gum disease(I was going to get it done, but I was going to save up. I didn't know it was a asap thing), but yesterday he was walking around the kitchen and suddenly started to cry. I picked him up and heard him kind of gagging and breathing weirder then usual. I went to go touch his lips to look in his mouth and he started to cry more. So I assume since the vet told me he has some loose teeth and that that they should be pulled, that they are bothering him. I also have to have his teeth scaled since he has some sort of nasty build up on them(If I don't he could get an infection). Fuck the people that owned him before I did, they obviously didn't care about him. Poor guy :c

So here's the prices I'm facing tomorrow morning. I could go with their monthly plan then cancel it in a month so I don't have to pay the next months cost, and that would pretty much save me 100. They charge 45 for the check up you buy the plan in and 45 for the plan that includes dental. So that's be around 100 after tax and all that.

OR i could just pay 200 to have it done. Now I'm not sure if they will make me sign for a certain amount of months... then my first plan would be screwed.

And to add onto that, that's just the scaling of the teeth. It doesn't include tooth extractions. I think it's per tooth, $200. Which it fucking ridiculous. He only has 2 problem teeth to my knowledge. So I could be looking at $400 for two.

What I could be charged is anywhere from $100-500. Even 100 is a problem right now. So, if any of you are feeling generous or kind, please note me. I will give you my paypal info. My uncle's putting it on his credit card and I have to pay him back.

BTW the vet is Banfield. I got a free visit from petsmart when I got his check up and I paid just for a rabis shot. I still need to get him a few other shots which I think are included if I get the monthly thing. Except the parvo shot... I think that's about 40.

That' so sad :(
I just adopted my puppy from an abusive family 2 years ago. She had worms and mange and they just got bored and gave her to us when she was 6 months old,
now she gets scared when we hold up anything that remotely resembles a knife.
I'll see what I can do, i'd love to help out :)
i'll ask my boss for a 20% raise and i'll send that to you
every time i get it. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear about the puppy. I wish you both the best of luck:) I would love to help, but Chopper has to have a tumor removed in the next couple of weeks and all my money is going to the operation. You could try the SPCA in your area. They have a "Credit Card" you can apply for. If you qualify, you can at least make payments instead of being out of pocket all that money in one shot and your dog will be able to have the procedure done now as opposed to waiting while you save up. I think they tax you something like 20%

whatever plan you go with, talk with the vet and see if you can make weekly or monthly payments. most companies are willing to accept something rather than get nothing.

I do it with my bills. $10-20 a week on autopay from my bank.

Aw I hope you get the money for your puppy :C
I don't really have that much money myself, so I can't really help.

Ironically, you could consider me neglectful because I only get to be with my puppies a few days each month (at most), but I make sure mine get proper food and medical care as they need it and they've never developed problems like that. I think its got something to do with their food; if you stick to dry kibble or meat on the bone (so they can gnaw and all that), they don't seem to get the dental problems that dogs fed canned food do.

Good luck getting him fixed up. *hugs*
